Quote & order management

Multi-version quoting through to confirmed, fulfilment-tracked orders.

Raytio Quote & order management handles the commercial lifecycle from an initial price quotation through to a confirmed sales order. Quotes support multiple pricing revisions before a customer commits, and orders track fulfilment from placement through to shipment. Quotes reference parties - they may go to prospects - while orders reference registered customers.

Capabilities

Three-level quotes

A quote has three levels.

  • Headers hold the commercial relationship.
  • Versions capture pricing revisions without losing earlier proposals.
  • Lines hold the priced items.
Party-based quoting

Estimates can be issued to prospects who are not yet formal customers, with distinct sold-to and ship-to sites.

Full line pricing detail

Each line carries unit and extended prices, at both list and quoted levels. Original and quoted items are recorded, with a relationship type explaining any substitution.

Orders with fulfilment tracking

Each line tracks ordered, cancelled, fulfilled and shipped quantities. Scheduled and actual ship dates are recorded.

Independent line status

A single line can be held or cancelled without affecting the rest of the order.

Quote-to-order conversion

Accepting a quote carries its detail across to a new order.

  • The commercial terms.
  • The resolved items and agreed prices.
  • The accepted version's price list.
External import interfaces

Order and quote-line data import in validated batches with per-row status and a batch summary.

Notable details

Price-list continuity

The order is priced from the list version the customer actually agreed to.

Deliberate structural difference

Quotes are three-level to support revisions; orders are two-level because confirmed pricing is fixed.
