Merchant & external relationships

Merchant profiles, classifications, offerings, and per-merchant integration config.

Raytio Merchants manages marketplace participants and external commercial relationships. Merchants extend the party model, then layer on classification, geographic presence, item catalogues, inbound email handling, and per-merchant authentication for external API integration.

Capabilities

Merchants extend parties

Identity, contacts and addresses are inherited from the party. Branding, codes and merchant-specific configuration are added here.

Hierarchical classification

Merchants categorise against catalogue classification items, with one primary business category.

Offerings scoped to locations

Merchant items link a merchant to catalogue items, optionally per site - different offerings at different locations.

Layered inbound email handling

Rules apply in layers: domain rules, address configuration and sender-specific rules. Each rule can drop, quarantine, identify or forward a message.

Quarantine with traceability

Held messages store full headers and record which rule caused them to be held.

Per-merchant OAuth configuration

Authorisation, token-exchange and refresh flows are stored as data per merchant. New integrations need no code changes, and credentials rotate with validity dates.
