Party relationships

The shared model for organisations, people, groups, locations, and brands.

Raytio Parties is the foundational layer for modelling business entities and their relationships - organisations, individuals and groups, where they are located, how to reach them, and which brands they carry. Customers, merchants and workers all build on the same universal party identity, so an entity is defined once and reused everywhere.

Capabilities

Three party types

Organisations, individuals and groups in one model, with the type determining which attributes are meaningful.

Directed relationships

Relationships form a typed, directed graph. Types include parent and subsidiary, partner, employer and employee, and group membership.

Locations separate from parties

Addresses are stored once, with structured fields and optional geolocation. Parties link to them through party sites with a use code, so nothing is duplicated.

Flexible contact points

Phone, email and URL contacts with use codes; phone numbers held in a standardised international format.

Country associations

Parties link to jurisdictions and markets distinctly from physical addresses - supporting compliance and reporting.

Brands as first-class entities

Brands carry internationalised names, logos and a many-to-many link to parties. This models multi-brand companies and franchises.

Time-bounded associations

Relationships, sites, contacts and links all carry start and end dates, so history is preserved rather than deleted.
